Your email.
Your choice.

When you sign up, A. Black collects your email address to send news about The Honest Optimist, occasional writing, and ideas as the book develops.

What is stored

Your email, signup date, the consent wording you agreed to, and subscription status are stored in the site’s database. A unique unsubscribe link lets you opt out. A short-lived, hashed network identifier is used to limit automated signup attempts; the application does not retain your raw IP address.

How it is used

Your address is used for this project’s updates. It is not sold. Hosting and email delivery providers may process it to operate the site and deliver the messages you requested. The site does not use advertising trackers.

Leaving the list

Save the “Manage your subscription” link shown after signup, or use the unsubscribe link included in future emails. Unsubscribing marks your address as inactive so it can be excluded from future mailings. Your subscription record is retained to respect that choice.

For questions or a request to delete your record, reply to any project email once updates begin.
